Caleb Timu on bench for Queensland Reds v NSW Waratahs
Caleb Timu might have been named in the Wallabies side but that was no guarantee of selection in the Queensland Reds starting team against NSW.
Caleb Timu might have been named last night in the Wallabies side and could well be in the run-on side against Ireland in the First Test but that was no guarantee of selection in the Queensland Reds starting team for the interstate match against NSW at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
Timu has been named on the bench with coach Brad Thorn keeping the faith with the backrow that performed so well against the Highlanders last weekend, Scott Higginbotham, George Smith and Angus Scott-Young.
The only change to the pack has taken place in the second-row where Kane Douglas has reclaimed his position alongside Test lock Izack Rodda.
in the backs, Thursday Islander Moses Soorovi has been chosen for his run-on debut at halfback, partnering Hamish Stewart who will make only his second appearance at five-eighth. Jono Lance, who played at 10 against the Highlanders, has swapped positions with Stewart and will play at fullback.
