Taniela Paseka extends stay at Manly Sea Eagles with ‘lifetime’ deal
Manly have signed a third player through to at least the end of the 2029 season, with prop Taniela Paseka joining Haumole Olakau’atu and Jason Saab with fresh long-term deals.
Manly has signed giant front-rower Taniela Paseka for life.
Paseka, 26, has an existing contract for the next two years, with Manly poised to announce a further three-season extension.
The new contract will ensure Paseka will play at Brookvale until the end of the 2029 season.
By the time his new deal finishes, the Wests Tigers junior will be 31 and all but certainly see out his career as a one-club player.
The monster new deal shows the incredible faith Manly have in the 197-centimetre, 121-kilogram middle forward.
Paseka has played arguably the best football of his career under coach Anthony Seibold, averaging 119 metres in 46 minutes per game this season.
It is understood Manly will formally announce Paseka’s new deal sometime on Friday afternoon.
He will be the third player to commit to the club through to 2029, including second-rower Haumole Olakau’atu and winger Jason Saab.
