NRL round 11 injury, suspension news: Liam Henry facing two weeks out for crusher tackle, Ronaldo Mulitalo hit with one week
Penrith sit squarely at the bottom of the ladder after 12 rounds but the hits keep coming, with one of their stars facing time on the sideline for a crusher tackle. Plus, a Sharks winger has copped a ban for a high shot.
Penrith’s trip to Bathurst has gone from bad to worse with forward Liam Henry facing two weeks on the sidelines for a crusher tackle.
In the wake of a 25-6 loss to Newcastle that leaves them bottom of the ladder after 12 rounds, the Panthers face missing Henry for the next fortnight against western Sydney rivals Parramatta and Wests Tigers.
Henry was hit with a grade two crusher tackle charge for his hit on Knights fullback Fletcher Sharpe which landed him in the sin bin on Saturday afternoon.
He risks a three-game ban if he fights the charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo will miss just one week with an early guilty plea for a brutal high shot on Roosters star Mark Nawaqanitawase.
Mulitalo was sent to the bin during Saturday’s 42-16 thrashing by the Roosters, but the grade two dangerous contact charge will one cost him one game with an early guilty plea.
The Sharks have a bye in round 13 but next face the Warriors at Sharks Stadium.
