Friday Night Footy has been run and won with the Eels picking up a cruisy win over the Knights and the Bulldogs clinging on in a classic match against the Roosters.

It was an entertaining evening from a viewing perspective, but what are the key takeaways with a SuperCoach lens?

Recap our live blog coverage below and see the top five things we learned.

LOMAX PUSHES FOR ORIGIN SELECTION

Blues hopeful Zac Lomax returned from injury for his first game since round five.

Named on the right wing the talented attacking threat was able to score his first try for the Eels in the first half, bringing up his 50th career try in 120 appearances.

Traded in by 563 SuperCoaches this round, and owned in four per cent of teams, Lomax delivered an exciting 60-point first half effort.

He finished with two tries, three from five conversions, a penalty goal and a total of 115 SuperCoach points.

MARKY MARK CONTINUES TO IMPRESS

Roosters right side winger Mark Nawaqanitawase was one of the standouts on Friday evening, further pushing his case for Origin selection.

The former Wallaby’s lowest two scores this season (57 and 46) were in the Roosters 50-14 round one loss and 14-6 defeat in round three.

Apart from those two scores he’s recorded 86, 71, 72, 69, 91 and now 92. A solid investment for those eight percent of SuperCoaches.

KIKAU STOCKS RISE AGAIN

Another great performance from Viliame Kikau who came out of the blocks firing despite his side being down 14-0 at the break.

Following a SuperCoach season-high 99 points last round against the Raiders, the damaging second row forward finished with 62 on Friday night.

After starting the season with an 84 and 90, Kikau missed rounds three to six before returning with scores of 49, 68 and 36.

With an average of 71 (the sixth best of his position) and his side unlikely to take too big of a hit during the Origin period, the 30-year-old looks a great pickup if you can fit him in your side.

IS BROWN BACK?

Eels playmaker Dylan Brown hasn’t been the only player relishing the return of Mitch Moses with the five-eight putting together a string of solid SuperCoach scores since his halves partners return.

Against the Knights on Friday evening Brown finished with 77, following on from his three recent scores of 60, 77 and 68.

Brown is currently owned by 11 per cent of SuperCoachers but that number may take a hit if Moses is selected for the Blues.

SMITH PAYING DIVIDENDS FOR EARLY INVESTORS

Owned by 50 percent of SuperCoaches this season, the dual Roosters halfback and hooker began the season priced at $237.6K.

Since then Sandon Smith has scored 535 total points, averaging 53 and is now priced at $496k.

His efforts this season also included a six minute performance against the Dolphins, where he finished with zero points, after being ruled out with a HIA.
