Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire has confirmed the club’s interest in reuniting with Melbourne winger Josh Addo-Carr but ruled out a player swap involving in-form flyer David Nofoaluma.
Addo-Carr has been linked to a Tigers’ homecoming, with the Storm star keen to return to Sydney for family reasons.
Maguire revealed he has spoken to the NSW Origin representative, who made his NRL debut with the Tigers in 2016.
“I spoke to Josh, but I have no idea where the management are with that one,” Maguire said.
“Obviously a player of that calibre, you are always looking to improve your team.
“So you would be crazy not to talk to someone like that.”

Addo-Carr is reportedly keen to play fullback.
Maguire believes that the speedster possesses the skills to excel in the No.1 jumper.
“Look, I definitely think he has got some attributes,” he said.
“It will take a lot of work to be able to show that, but in time that they happen.
“He is quick, he is fast and he knows how to score tries.
“He is very determined to want to win all the little moments, so those sorts the of players are the players that every coach wants.”
Melbourne are willing to release Addo-Carr if they can find an adequate replacement.
Nofoaluma, who has scored 17 tries in 17 games this season, has been mooted as part of a player swap.
But Maguire insists it won’t happen.
“No chance,” he said.
“There is no way in the world that Dave is leaving.
“He loves this club and you can see by the way he plays.
“I also really enjoy coaching Dave.
“He is a Wests Tigers player. You see the passion in what he does, he is not going anywhere.”
