BEST BET

TOO DARN LIZZIE (R7 No.1 – $2.90)

Too Darn Lizzie won’t have Treasurethe Moment to contend with this time after placing behind the superstar filly in both runs this campaign. The most recent of those was over 1600m in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes, and last prep she finishing third in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas in her other run at the mile. She should be at peak fitness third-up and will take catching again around The Valley circuit.

JIMMYSSTAR (R9 No.1 – $3)

Jimmysstar should he could be our next sprinting star after his blistering win in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate in fast time. He’s only going to be better over 1200m, but he may need to overcome some traffic from barrier two.

SHANWAH (R6 No.2 – $2.70)

Shanwah has won three in a row, the latest in the Group 2 Autumn Classic where he sprinted away off a slow tempo for a dominant win. He steps up to 2000m for the first time but he should get a similar set-up here.
