FIVE TO FOLLOW
ALEPPO PINE (1-length 2nd of 5, race 1): No match for winner SCENIC POINT but entitled to finish closer. Loved the last 50m after being shut-out as Scenic Point raced greenly from the 150m mark. Aleppo Pine kicked again despite further interference from third-placed MEDNYI. Has the motor and potential to win a nice race in time.
Just as Bold Bastille did 12 months ago, Scenic Point dominates her fellow 2YOs for @lindsayparkrace ð

CHEWING GUM (4.1-length 7th of 10, race 7): Thereabouts at the top of the straight but ridden for luck and got none. Went to the line untested as jockey Celine Gaudray searched for runs through the field. Only second-up last Saturday and could be one to watch going forward.

QUE TEMPESTE (0.5-length 4th of 14, race 8): Could he give the Mornington Cup (2400m) a shake third-up in a fortnight? Closed off nicely first-up in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m) and then again caught the eye late last Saturday, fourth albeit in an Easter Cup run to suit backmarkers. Que Tempeste recorded the fastest last 400m and 200m sectionals in the 2000m feature at Caulfield.
SUNSETS (2.8-length 6th of 14, race 8): First three in the run, FUTURE HISTORY, LE ZEBRA and REDSTONE WELL, faded in the straight riding a hot tempo in the Easter Cup but Sunsets, who settled fourth, hung tough late and was only collared by the backmarkers inside the last 100. Trending like a horse ready to hit top gear in a start or two.

RIOT AND ROSE (3.9-length 11th of 14, race 9): Might need one more to find best in a suitable 1400m or 1600m race but solid return by the ghostly grey. Poked along midfield in the run first-up but unable to get into the preferred ground, down the middle of the straight late in the day, stuck inside horses closer to the rail. Raced in restricted room the last 100m. SEONEE (2.8-length 7th of 14) finished off nicely also, while LADY IN PINK (3.2-length 8th of 14) appeared to be restrained off heels over the concluding stages.

FORGIVE
PURE ALPHA (1.8-length 5th of 15, race 4): Drew poorly and posted three wide without cover. Held ground in the leader dominant race. Second-up so should improve fitness wise and be competitive next start with a more economical run.

CERTAIN RISE (25.3-length 10th of 10, race 7): Under pressure before the bend and eased down in the straight. An initial post‑race vet examination revealed a cardiac arrhythmia, while a secondary inspection identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. Certain Rise must be spelled for two months.
GLOBE (5.2-length 13th of 14, race 9): Raced ungenerously throughout first-up at Caulfield and faded out of contention. Better than what he displayed last Saturday in the Victoria Handicap and expect a rebound second-up. Globe now unplaced in three starts at Caulfield and a Good 3 surface probably not ideal for the big galloper.
CILACAP (3.6-length 10th of 14, race 8): Australasian Oaks-bound filly posted three wide without cover and copped interference near the 350m mark. Back against her age and sex should be a different story.
MODOWN (15.7-length 13th of 13, race 10): Too bad to be true. Never travelled and eased down last 150m. Jockey Jett Stanley told stewards he felt something may be amiss with the gelding. A post-race examination did not reveal any significant findings. Trainer Charlotte Littlefield, at a loss to explain the performance, said further vet checks would be conducted.

STEWARDS SAY
Jockey CELINE GAUDRAY enjoyed success on the track but no so much in the stewards’ room with a 12-meeting suspension and fine for separate indiscretions.
Stewards slugged Gaudray $500 for failure to ride out her mount, BOLD RESPONSE (1.7-length 5th of 11, race 2), early on the card.
Gaudray later pleaded guilty to careless riding in the Easter Cup on winner TORRANZINO (race 8), who shifted out near the 350m mark and caused interference to CHARISSE and subsequently CILACAP.
Jockey LUKE CURRIE pleaded guilty to careless riding in the Listed Redoute’s Choice Stakes (1100m).
Currie allowed MEDNYI to shift out into ALEPPO PINE near the 100m mark.
Stewards imposed an eight-meeting suspension, which Currie elected to start straight after Caulfield commitments.
