Melbourne Cup 2019: results, finishing order, where your horse finished

From first to last, here’s how your Cup fancy passed the post | Full finishing order.

Couldn’t hear where your fancy finished amid the cheering and the protest among the minor placegetters?

Don’t throw that ticket away just yet — we’ve got you covered.

The first three past the post were Vow and declare, Master of Reality and Prince of Araan.

But stewards fired in a protest that fourth placegetter Il Paradiso suffered alleged interference over the final 100m from the second-placed Master Of Reality, which had cost Il Paradiso a place in the first three.

After the protest was heard and upheld, the official placings were adjusted, with Vow and Declare remaining the winner, Prince of Arran elevated to second, and Il Paradiso officially third.

Master of Reality relegated to fourth.

And even if you didn’t pick the first three across — all hope is not lost: there’s still the prize for last in the office sweep.
