Race 3 No.1 GALLANT PRINCE ($4.20)

Clayton Douglas-trained colt led and kept rolling to score at Pakenham first-up. He’ll be fitter and has the perfect racing style for the Sandown Lakeside course.

NEXT BEST

Race 6 No.5 NIANCE ($3.50)

The former Kiwi was a strong winner at her local debut for the Grahame Begg stable. She’ll be better for it and should be hard to hold out again.

Race 7 No.4 THALER ($8.50)

Thaler travelled well before scoring easily at The Valley second-up. He’ll be fitter for that and there’s no reason the gelding won’t go well at Sandown.

VALUE BET

Race 5 No.13 VIVIDNESS ($12)

The Godolphin filly jumped out well before a steady effort in an on-pacers’ race at The Valley. She’ll be better for it and that step to 1400m suits.
