Sam Kerr is US Women’s Soccer League MVP
Another day, another award for Matildas star Sam Kerr. The West Australian has been named the MVP of the National Women’s Soccer League in the US.
Another day, another award for Matildas star Sam Kerr. In the same week she was named Australia’s Sportswoman of the Year, the West Australian was named the MVP of the National Women’s Soccer League in the US.
The 24-year-old attacker scored 17 goals and had four assists in her season with the New Jersey-based Sky Blue FC.
During the season Kerr became the first NWSL player to score four goals in a game against the Seattle Reign on August 19.
Kerr rallied the Sky Blue from a 3-goal deficit to beat the Reign 5-4.
