David Warner has been ruled out of the remainder of Australia’s white ball campaign and faces a race against the clock to prove his fitness for the first Test.

Cricket Australia are expected to confirm details around Warner’s injury shortly, but it’s understood it may be still too early to tell the extent of the damage suffered to his groin.

However, the fact he has been scratched from the rest of the limited overs series which spans until December 8, gives him precious little time to get himself fit for the first Test starting on December 17.

However, the fact CA hasn’t yet ruled Warner out of the Test opener suggests positive signs that his summer is far from over.

Warner posted a photo on Instagram on Monday back home with his children and beginning his rehabilitation.
