Australia regain top spot in the global Twenty20 rankings as Mitchell Marsh inspires five-wicket over England at Southampton.
ENGLAND 6/145 (Jonny Bairstow 55, Joe Denly 29*, Moeen Ali 23, Adam Zampa 2/34, Mitchell Star 1/20, Josh Hazlewood 1/23) lost to AUSTRALIA 5/146 (Aaron Finch 39, Mitchell Marsh 39*, Marcus Stoinis 26, Adil Rashid 3/21, Tom Curran 1/23, Mark Wood 1/38) after 19.3 overs. England wins the three match series 2-1.
Australia beat England by five wickets at Southampton this morning (AEST) to regain top spot in the global Twenty20 rankings from their arch-rivals as the tourists ended the series with a consolation win.
Set a modest 146 to win, Australia were cruising to victory at 1/70. But they suffered a collapse that saw them slump to 100-5, with leg-spinner Adil Rashid taking 3-21 including the key wickets of captain Aaron Finch (39) and star batsman Steve Smith (3).
It took until the final over but it was worth the wait!

But Mitchell Marsh (39 not out) and Ashton Agar (16 not out) saw them home with three balls to spare.
England, however, won the three-match series 2-1.
