They were labelled the dark horse of the season and Warringah lived up tho their new mantle with a major upset in a fascinating third round of Sydney Rugby Union 1st Colts.

On a spectacular day, Warringah toppled one of the competition favourites, Sydney Uni, in a 28-21 boilover.

It wasn’t the first surprise of the round - that went to the Hunter Wildfires knocking off Eastwood for their first win of the season.

And another result raising eyebrows was Manly keeping Southern Districts scoreless in their match-up at home.

Now just three teams remain undefeated in the competition three games ion with Gordon at the top of the ladders with northern beaches clubs, the Manly Marlins and Warringah Rats, also without a blemish on their scorecards.

Eastern Suburbs, the defending champion round out the top four three points behind after their round one upsets at the hands of Southern Districts .
