But with six rounds to go, if you’re trailing the leaders in your tipping comp it’s time to start taking risks.

That’s clearly Mark Robinson’s strategy entering round 19, where the chief football writer has identified three matches where the majority of tipsters might have got it wrong.

Collingwood will start as $1.85 favourite against Port Adelaide and 66 per cent of tipsters at tips.com.au are backing the Pies.

But Robbo hopes the Power can rebound from a 50-point loss to Carlton and start a new winning streak at Adelaide Oval.

He’s also backing $2.25 outsider Essendon – selected by just 30 per cent at tips.com.au – to upset the Bulldogs on Friday night, but his biggest underdog of the round is Geelong.

The Cats have won their past two games, against North Melbourne and Essendon, by 62 and 77 points, but Brisbane at the Gabba will be a much tougher proposition. The Lions are $1.48 favourites with the bookies and have been selected by just one in five tipsters this week.
