AFL Mock Draft: Our experts select draft’s first round

With the AFL draft only weeks away, experts CHRIS CAVANAGH and DAN BATTEN put their necks on the line by selecting the draft’s first round. Watch the full mock draft here.

The AFL Draft is just a fortnight away and our draft experts have put their necks on the line by stepping into the shoes of recruiters for a host of clubs.

Chris Cavanagh and Dan Batten have been following the draft extensively across the year and played the roles of AFL clubs in our 2024 Mock Draft, selecting prospects based on club needs and their own talent orders.

Richmond dominates the first round with seven picks, Carlton managed to move up the order to secure the third selection, while St Kilda and Melbourne both have two prized top-10 picks.

Chris had the task of setting up Richmond’s future as Dan worked out how to add some of the best young talent to St Kilda and Melbourne’s lists.

The mock draft is different to our Phantom Draft, which predicts who every club will take on draft night.
