The University of the Sunshine Coast’s School of Business and Creative Industries has been awarded accreditation from the AACSB, the US-based organisation which accredits business schools worldwide.

Vice-chancellor Helen Bartlett said the accreditation was important as the university “builds on our international links and reputation that ensure UniSC Business graduates have even greater opportunities to secure employment here and overseas.”

AACSB chief accreditation officer Stephanie Bryant said the accreditation was “synonymous with the highest standards of quality.”

“The addition of the University of the Sunshine Coast to the network of AACSB-accredited business schools will have a lasting positive impact for their institution,” she said.

AACSB accreditation requires business schools to demonstrate excellence in areas including teaching, research, curriculum development and student learning.
