The Australian’s upgraded app now includes Latest, a new section that gives you the big news stories and important analysis during the day.

We’ve added Latest in response to your feedback telling us you want to see updates in the app.

You can find Latest after sport on the menu along the top of the app on both tablet and smartphone. You can check back for latest news and views whenever you have time during the day or evening.

But to ensure you don’t miss an important story during the day, sign up to Notifications for the app. It’s easy!

On iOS devices: go to Setting>Notifications>The Australian and select Allow Notifications.

On Android devices: go to Settings>Notifications>The Australian app and toggle switch to On.

We’ve already added a smaller font size option for our Android users, again in response to your feedback. This feature will be available soon for IOS users.

To help you get the most from the new app, we offer these tips:

• iOS users who leave Wi-Fi on overnight will find the new edition ready for them in the morning.

• Swipe down from the top of the screen to download the most recent stories.

While we can’t respond to all your emails we are reading each one and assessing the features you request. We will update you as we make improvements.
