We’ve got a lovely bunch of blaktivist misogynist coconut haters enjoying free speech

Deplorable! Matthew d’Ancona, The Guardian, August 13:

(Boris) Johnson’s “authenticity” resides in his signal that it is acceptable to use demeaning, dehumanising language about Muslim women in religious clothing. I think — no, I insist — that this is nothing short of deplorable, and … poses greater long-term dangers than (Enoch) Powell’s (“rivers of blood”) speech in 1968.

Full inquiry. Dan Sabbagh, The Guardian, August 13:

Britain’s largest Islamic organisation will write to Theresa May on Monday demanding that Boris Johnson be subject to a full disciplinary inquiry, arguing that no one should be allowed to victimise minorities with impunity.

Deplorable? Boris Johnson, The Telegraph, August 5:

If you wanted to visit a country that seemed on the face of it to embody the principles of JS Mill … I would advise you to head for wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. So I was a bit surprised to see … the Danes … imposing a ban on the niqab and the burka — those items of Muslim head-gear that obscure the female face … If you tell me that the burka is oppressive, then I am with you. If you say that it is weird and bullying to expect women to cover their faces, then I totally agree … I would go further and say that it is absolutely ridiculous that people should choose to go around looking like letter boxes; and I thoroughly dislike any attempt by any — invariably male — government to encourage such demonstrations of “modesty” … If a female student turned up at school … looking like a bank robber then … those in authority should be allowed to (ask her to remove it) … But such restrictions are not quite the same as telling a free-born adult woman what she may or may not wear in a public place when she is simply minding her own business. I am against a total ban because it is inevitably construed, rightly or wrongly, as being intended to make some point about Islam … you fan the flames of grievance.

Indigenous activist Jack Latimore, Guardian Australia, August 10:

Australia is deplorably racist.

Who is deplorably racist? Andrew Bolt, Herald Sun, August 12:

Aboriginal politician Jacinta Price wrote a piece … defending Australia Day. (A man who) works for the Wurundjeri Tribe Land and Compensation Cultural Heritage Council … (responded:) “How bout you fuking (sic) die a painful death u sell out cocanut (sic). Every warrior of the past did not fight for scum like u, to spread the illegal oppressors lies. Always was always will be Aboriginal land. Ur type real cancer in our communities and need to be eradicated”… (Seven other indigenous men made similar comments). The misogyny of these blaktivists is clear. ... (will) the women’s movement ... now speak up against this shocking abuse and intimidation as they’d do if the target was a woman of the Left.

Not the first time. Michael Brull, newmatilda, February 15, 2016:

Jacinta (Price recently elected to) Alice Springs Town Council ... wrote in a controversial Facebook post that she intended to celebrate Australia Day ... (Indigenous man) Clayton Simpson Pitt (responded): “It’s coconut black c … s like this that deadset sicken me.”

Baby, you’re driving me nuts. Josie Le Blond, The Guardian, August 10:

German police have rescued a man after he called for help saying a baby squirrel would not leave him alone … the drama ended … when the squirrel … lay down abruptly and fell asleep … police on the scene … (said) “A squirrel will be our new mascot, it will be christened Karl-Friedrich.”
