Woman hurt in Melbourne amid reports of shooting
A woman has been injured and hospitalised following a reported shooting in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Richmond.
A woman has been potentially been shot in the leg in an inner-Melbourne home, with a large police presence converging on the street.
“Police are currently at an address in Richmond following reports of a shooting this afternoon,” a police spokeswoman said, “Emergency services were called to the Leeds Street property shortly before 4.30pm.”
“Upon arrival, a 44-year-old woman was located with non-life threatening injuries to her leg and was taken to hospital.
“Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation is ongoing.”
Multiple police cars and a police helicopter are currently situated in and above Leeds St in Richmond, where the woman was found with non-life threatening injuries.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed the woman was in a stable condition and was sent to the Alfred Hospital for further treatment.
