Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson has had his drugs changes case adjourned for another month in the Melbourne’s Magistrates Court.

The football great was due to appear in front of Magistrate Roslyn Porter today.

But Thompson had his case adjourned until June 28.

He was later seen leaving court and jumping into a Holden Commodore.

Thompson has been charged with two counts of trafficking ecstasy, one count of trafficking methamphetamine, counts of possessing both drugs and possessing a prescription drug without a prescription.

Victoria police say they found bags of drugs in his home, including LSD, methamphetamine, ecstasy, and MDMA, during a raid last January.

One count of trafficking a drug with dependence can have a maximum penalty of 15 years in jail.

Thompson did not enter a plea on his last appearance earlier this month but his lawyer, David Hallowes QC, told the court he would “vigorously deny” any trafficking charges.

He was released on strict bail conditions.

Thompson captained Essendon in their 1993 premiership win. He won two flags for Geelong as coach in 2007 and 2009.

Thompson returned to Essendon as senior assistant coach under James Hird in 2010 before the club became embroiled in the supplements scandal.

He later became senior coach when Hird was suspended in 2014, but left the post at the end of that year.

His co-accused, and former roommate, Thomas Windsor was set to appear in Geelong’s Magistrate Court today.
