THE wife of former Victorian Liberal candidate Mike Laker has lashed out at the party.

She said they are too "fuddy duddy" in their attitudes and they do not have the conviction to win the country seat vacated by her husband.

Mr Laker resigned last weekend, just four weeks from the state election, amid a race row which saw him accused of spreading rumours that Somalians were given housing and free cars by the Brumby Government in his electorate of Seymour.

It emerged just days after that Mr Laker's family business, run by wife Lindy Laker, was an internet body-piercing business called "Lindys' Goodies" that sold a "vibrating tongue bar" and "piercing stretches".

Ms Laker hit back at the Liberal Party yesterday via Twitter, saying they were too old-fashioned.

"Are the Liberals too narrow minded and 'fuddy duddy' in their attitudes? Wanted to know if Lindys Goodies sells kinky goods!" she tweeted at one point.

"Who will Victorian Liberal Party select to replace Mike Laker in Seymour electorate? SHAME on the few who pissed him off! He WAS the best!," she tweeted on November 3.
