‘I don’t want to be alone with him’: Dylan Walker faces court on assault charge
As NRL player Dylan Walker learns his fate in court, a triple-0 call from his fiancee was played following the alleged assault.
NRL player Dylan Walker is facing Manly Local Court on domestic violence charges that will decide his playing career.
Police prosecutor Craig Pullen has told the court there are eight witnesses to Walker’s alleged assault of his fiancee, Alexandra Ivkovic, at Dee Why in December. It was previously thought three witnesses were to be called.
The 24-year old faces charges of common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Ivkovic has retracted her statement but police are going ahead with the prosecution. Walker is certain to be sacked as an NRL player if found guilty.
If he’s found not guilty, he’s still likely to be fined or suspended by the NRL for bringing the game into disrepute. A triple-0 call has been played in which Ivkovic says Walker has pulled her hair and made her fall to the ground while holding their four-month-old baby. She says in the call, “I don’t want to be alone with him.”
