A FORMER teacher at the exclusive Knox Grammar School in Sydney will be extradited tomorrow from Victoria to face child sex charges.

NSW police were this afternoon granted an application to extradite Damian Vance from Melbourne to appear at Hornsby Local Court north-west of Sydney.

The Melbourne Magistrates’ Court heard police arrested Mr Vance in his Wheelers Hill home in the city’s eastern suburbs this morning. He was charged with inciting an indecent act.

The 54-year-old, who police say is still teaching in Victoria, will be interviewed by detectives upon his return to Sydney.

Mr Vance was the fourth person to be arrested by NSW police as a result of Strike Force Arika.

Three other teachers were charged in February over alleged sex offences against former students from the 1970s to the 1990s.

Former Knox teachers Adrian Nisbett, 59, and Barrie Tiffin Stewart, 71, where charged with multiple offences.

Craig Treloar, 49, was teaching Year six at Knox when he was charged with four offences of indecency and indecent assault relating to complaints made by two former students.
