Slovenian-born model Melania Trump (nee-Knauss) met DonaldTrump at a Fashion Week party in 1998, where she refused to give him her number. They began dating several months later. Here, they are pictured at a charity ball in 2004.

Melania began her modelling career at age 16, when she posed for fashion photographer Stane Herko. She worked as a model in Milan and Paris before relocating to New York in 1996.

Melania speaks six languages, her native Slovenian, Serbian, English, French, Italian and German.

In March 2006, Melania gave birth to a son named Barron William Trump. People magazine reported at the time that Donald chose the name Barron, and Melania, William.
