Two men found dead in home in Surry Hills, Sydney
Two men have been found dead inside a home in inner Sydney, with the pair believed to have died at different times.
The bodies of two men have been found inside a home in inner Sydney,where police say they may have gone undiscovered for several weeks.
Police were called to a terrace home on Cleveland Street in Surry Hills at about 2pm on Thursday, following concerns for welfare.
Officers discovered the body of one man inside the house and declared a crime scene.
A second man’s body was found in another room a short time later.
Police say both men, believed to be in their 70s and 80s, are thought to have died at different times within the past month.
Their identities have not been confirmed.
Police sources have said it is not believed the deaths were suspicious, and it’s understood no charges will be laid.
Neighbours have described the owner of the home as “quirky” and friendly.
Eleanor Barker is understood to own the home on Cleveland St, Surry Hills, and was living there.
She has spoken with detectives.
One neighbour said he had known Ms Barker for many years and that she was known to visit Sydney’s Wayside Chapel.
He said she was a “quirky” woman who used to “jazz up” her scooter.
Another neighbour said she would always smile on the street.
