Teen flown to hospital after snake bite on Queensland island

The teenager was reportedly walking near his accommodation when he was bitten.

A teenager has been flown to hospital following a snake bite on a Queensland island.

Paramedics were called to K’Gari about 7.45pm on Tuesday night after a male teenager reportedly suffered a snake bite.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the teen was bitten in the lower leg.

He was reportedly walking outside near his accommodation when the bite occurred, according to 9NEWS.

The teen was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
