Qld man arrested over cow gallstone theft
A MAN has been charged after expensive cattle gallstones, used in alternative medicine to treat hepatitis, disappeared from a Queensland slaughterhouse.
GALLSTONES are something most people would be happy to part with - but not if they're running an abattoir and the stones are worth $20,000 per kilogram.
A COLLECTION of cattle gallstones, which are used in Chinese herbal medicine, began disappearing over the last six months from a slaughterhouse at Oakey, west of Toowoomba.
