Man in custody after woman found dead at home in Perth’s south

A man is in custody as police investigate the death of a woman whose body was found at her home.

Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found at a home in Perth’s south on Monday morning.

Police were called to the home on Sandpiper Dr in Yangebup about 7.15am where they found the woman.

A 54-year-old man, who is known to the woman, has been taken into police custody and is assisting them with their inquiries.

Police said there was no threat to the public.

“The man and the woman are believed to be known to each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” police said.

“The investigation remains ongoing.”
