Beau Lamarre-Condon: Police discover human remains in search for Jesse Baird, Luke Davies
Police searching for the bodies of a TV star and his boyfriend have made an eerie discovery, as strange new details about the alleged murderer’s movements emerge.
Human remains have been discovered in the search for Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, who were allegedly murdered by a serving police officer.
Police returned to Bungonia, near Goulburn, on Tuesday after an unsuccessful search of a property there yesterday.
Officers also swarmed a section of the Royal National Park south of Sydney around midday.
Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon was on Friday charged with the couple’s murder after they disappeared from a Paddington home on February 19, but their bodies are yet to be found.
Police on Tuesday shifted their attention to a remote part of the Royal National Park off Sir Bertram Stevens Dr, near the intersection of Bundeena Dr.
Strike Force Ashfordby investigators also established a crime scene at a second property at Bungonia, about 185km from Sydney, this afternoon.

Detectives were also canvassing the leafy suburb of Grays Point in Sydney’s south, where the Constable Lamarre-Condon grew up, as they hunt for clues to help find the remains of Mr Baird and Mr Davies.
Earlier, a dog walker discovered blood on Grays Point Oval on Tuesday morning, with a section of the park cordoned off by police.
But investigators believe the blood may have come from deer culling in the area overnight.
“Local police have set up a crime scene at the oval as a precaution while they conduct inquiries,” a spokesperson told news.com.au.
Forensic officers left the scene after about 45 minutes with a small bag of evidence.
Detectives were door knocking and seeking CCTV footage in the neighbourhood bordering the Royal National Park, where it’s believed a home linked to Constable Lamarre-Condon’s family is located.
A van the serving NSW Police officer allegedly hired to dispose of Mr Baird and Mr Davies bodies was found on Plover St in the southern Sydney suburb on Friday.
Constable Lamarre-Condon is also believed to have visited an uncle who lives in Grays Point before handing himself in last week.
Police helicopters were also flying around the nearby Port Hacking area on Monday.
Cop had stomach surgery the day after alleged murders
Radio host Ben Fordham told listeners on 2GB that Detective Inspector Glenn Brown – head of the Missing Persons Registry – would interview an uncooperative Constable Lamarre-Condon today.
Fordham also revealed police believe the alleged killer had day surgery on his stomach on Tuesday and arranged to have the following two days off.
“They reckon Beau managed to squeeze in a medical procedure last week, the day after it’s believed that he (allegedly) killed Luke and Jesse,” he said.
Police conclude search of dams at remote farm
It comes after police divers and the riot squad spent four hours combing a farm containing several dams at Bungonia, about 185km southwest of Sydney, on Monday.
A Toyota van Constable Lamarre-Condon allegedly hired on the night of the murders was tracked to the farm last Wednesday.
Fabrizio Cella, the owner of Cella Farm where the two-day search took place, said he had no connection to the alleged murderer and “no idea” why police were searching his farm.
On Tuesday, police commissioner Karen Webb said divers had finished searching dams at the property on Monday night but police remained at the scene to carry out line searches on the ground.
Police allege Mr Baird, 26, and Mr Davies, 29, were shot dead at the Studio 10 presenter’s home on Brown St, Paddington on February 19 before their bodies were moved.
Police reveal timeline of alleged shooting
Deputy Commissioner David Hudson revealed yesterday that neighbours heard gunshots coming from the Paddington sharehouse Mr Baird lived in about 9.50am on Monday, February 19.
A triple-0 call was then made from Mr Davies’ phone four minutes later, but it disconnected.
It will be alleged in court Constable Lamarre-Condon, who was attached to the youth command, used his service pistol to shoot both Mr Baird and Mr Davies.
He then allegedly bought an angle grinder, a padlock and weights on Wednesday, February 21, as he drove in the van to the Bungonia property with a female friend who is not accused of wrongdoing.
On Thursday, the 28-year-old drove the van to Newcastle where it is alleged he asked an associate to use a hose to clean out the vehicle.
The police officer and TV presenter Mr Baird, 26, had previously seen each other casually and detectives believe their relationship did “not end well”.
Deputy Commissioner Hudson alleged yesterday Constable Lamarre-Condon displayed “predatory” behaviour toward his alleged victim and had broken into his house in August.
Friends of Mr Baird have since come forward to downplay the connection between he and Constable Lamarre-Condon, saying they were never in a formal relationship.
After turning himself in on Friday, Constable Lamarre-Condon was charged with two counts of murder and has so far not co-operated with the investigation.
He was refused bail at Waverley Local Court last week and will next face court in April.
