Show ‘too white’
A top ABC comedy program is “too white”, “too male orientated” and should focus more on jokes about race and the perception that people think Australia is a racist country, a leaked internal document reveals. A three-page ABC document obtained by The Australian marked “Swot from the around the team” and dated May 21, outlines the strengths, weaknesses and ways to improve Tonightly with Tom Ballard. The document, drawn up by producer Dan Ilic, emerged after Ballard strongly denied indecently assaulting an aspiring comedian four years ago after the alleged victim published allegations on social media.
