Shorten lifts Labor’s poll dominance

Hopes of an electoral revival for the Morrison government on the back of a sharpened campaign against Bill Shorten’s border ­protection credentials and class-war tax plans have been cruelled, with Labor extending its lead as the government notches up 50 losing polls in a row.

Joyce: fight poll on coal

Barnaby Joyce has demanded Scott Morrison go to the May election promising government support for a new coal-fired power station in central Queensland, as the former deputy prime minister positions for a post-election tilt at the Nationals leadership.
