$20bn flop: schools fail to lift most students’ results

Bellajura Primary kids are doing well, but literacy and numeracy skills of most students are languishing, despite funding for schools soaring.

China tells Payne: butt out

China has told the Australian government to keep out of the case of arrested Chinese-Australian writer, Yang Hengjun, saying it “deplores” a strongly-worded statement by Foreign Minister Marise Payne expressing concern about his treatment.
