Senate passes same-sex marriage bill 43-12

The Dean Smith bill passed through the Senate with no amendments and will be put to the House of Representatives next week.

Airport closes as volcano erupts

Bali authorities have ordered the airport remain closed for another 24 hours - despite an easing of the volcano aviation alert.
