Albo hits by-election campaign trail

Having declined to say whether he’d seek the ALP leadership if Bill Shorten failed in Longman, opposition infrastructure spokesman Anthony Albanese has recommitted Labor to a $2.24 billion project to ease rail congestion.

New private health fee warning

Privately insured patients are on track to have to pay more than half a surgeon’s fees from their own pockets, analysts say.
