Vladimir Putin has unveiled a devastating new weapon: a nuclear-powered submarine drone designed to unleash a “radioactive tsunami”.

Hours after Putin warned the US against deploying new missiles in Europe, Russia backed up the vow by showing video of the Poseidon. Dubbed by one expert last year as the “doomsday torpedo”, it is a nuclear-powered submarine drone, designed to unleash radioactive tsunamis on coastal areas.

Hanna ‘violated helpless woman’

Prosecutors say Dave Hanna’s recollection of a sexual encounter is “at complete odds with the rest of the evidence in the case”. Mr Hanna’s lawyers say the woman he is accused of raping agreed to have sex with him but later regretted her decision and had reconstructed a version of events in her mind. Crown prosecutor Michael Lehane said the alleged victim, was heavily intoxicated and was “essentially helpless and at the accused’s mercy”.
