Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull struggles to find his voice again

Malcolm Turnbull’s political message has been obscured yet again by his inability to quote John Farnham, after he fumbled over the lyrics to You’re the Voice for the second time in as many days.
The prime minister, who was yesterday criticised on social media after video footage emerged of him mumbling the words to the Aussie classic during an appearance at the Commonwealth Games, was still struggling to find his voice this morning.

In an awkward exchange on 3AW, Mr Turnbull was asked by host Neil Mitchell whether he wanted another opportunity to demonstrate he did in fact know the lyrics to the iconic tune.
But, the prime minister stumbled again, saying: “there’s a good line in there for the treasurer, time to erm, what was it? time to er, um, cripes ... the bit about balancing the books”.
“Not the bit about looking down the barrel of the gun?” Mitchell said.
“Erm, no. No, look. Sons and daughters? There’s a good line in there for the treasurer”.
After the interview, Mitchell speculated that the line that Turnbull was searching for was “We’ve got to make ends meet, before we get much older.”
