Emma Husar reappears after no show fear ahead of medivac bill vote
Emma Husar arrives at parliament following fears she wouldn’t vote on the medivacs bill today, causing a major upset for Bill Shorten.
Rogue Labor MP Emma Husar has arrived at Parliament House following fears she would not vote in the chamber today and cause a major upset for Bill Shorten, who could have a major win over the government on the medivac bill.
Labor sources had confirmed the party was trying to locate Ms Husar, who has been estranged from her colleagues since she says she was forced not to contest her Sydney electorate of Lindsay and was “slut shamed” in the midst of a controversy over her management and treatment of former staffers.
Ms Husar arrived at Parliament House just before 12.30pm, when the House of Representatives was already sitting.

The Opposition Leader will need a simple majority in the House to pass his amendments on the Kerryn Phelps inspired medivac bill and any absence of a Labor MP could derail the vote which is due this afternoon.
All 69 Labor MPs will also have to be in the House for Mr Shorten to secure an absolute majority of 76 MPs to suspend standing orders and move a motion to include extra sitting weeks in March to deal with the banking royal commission’s recommendations.
Ms Husar was not at a meeting of Labor’s caucus last night and has been contacted for comment, as has Labor’s chief whip Chris Hayes.
The outgoing MP indicated as recently as January she could move to the crossbench when parliament resumes, saying senior colleagues were making her position in the party “untenable”.
In a strange tweet this morning as colleagues were questioning where she was, Ms Husar said: “Just swallow your rage. Even if it makes you choke.”

Even if it makes you choke.
Ms Husar’s Parliament House office was locked with the lights off.
