Cory Bernardi to move motion over Christopher Pyne Twitter porn hack
Cory Bernardi will move a motion in the Senate to investigate the apparent hacking of Christopher Pyne’s Twitter account.
Australian Conservatives senator Cory Bernardi will move a motion in the Senate to investigate the apparent hacking of Defence Industry Minister Chris Pyne’s Twitter account.
Senator Bernardi, who openly loathes Mr Pyne, said he was “deeply concerned” about the hack, which caused the cabinet minister’s account to like a gay porn video at 2 o’clock this morning.
He has asked Attorney-General George Brandis to report back to the parliament on the investigation by the end of the year.
“Need full investigation and report in case (there is a) foreign agent trying to influence elections,” Senator Bernardi said.
Mr Pyne tweeted this morning he had been hacked and was in bed asleep at 2am when his account “liked’’ a gay porn video.
On Sky News, Mr Bernardi said hacking happened.
“These things do happen it is unfortunate when it happens in the public profile,” Senator Bernardi said.
“Who looks at porn at 2am on the night that the gay marriage bill gets up?”
