The family of Lyn’s brother Greg Simms and his wife Merilyn, along with Lyn’s nieces, nephews and other relatives, joined with journalist Hedley Thomas and former detective Damian Loone at a Sydney bar after Dawson was found guilty of murder.
Through tears and laughter, Team Lyn embraced, shared a drink and revealed how it felt to watch Chris Dawson lie his way through 40 years of denials – and then ultimately be handcuffed and taken away.
