WA town under ember attack from bushfire
Homes in the coastal town of Two Rocks north of Perth are under immediate threat.
The coastal town of Two Rocks, north of Perth, is under ember attack as a nearby bushfire continues to rage out of control.
An emergency warning remains in place for Two Rocks and parts of Yanchep with authorities warning locals their lives are in danger and they should leave if it is safe to do so.
Homes in Two Rocks and those north of Yanchep Beach Road are under immediate threat with the blaze out of control and unpredictable.
Two temporary evacuation centres have been established at the Gumblossom Community Centre and the Granville Civic Centre.
A number of schools and preschools in the surrounding area have been closed with parents asked to keep children home on Friday.
About 220 firefighters are on the scene, protecting assets and establishing containment lines.
The blaze has burnt through about 2660 hectares after being first reported on Wednesday.
