New video of Bruce Lehrmann emerges

Bruce Lehrmann has appeared in a social media video in which a dinner guest is seen cutting a white powder on a plate with his credit card at the dinner table.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph, the video was shared to Instagram on Sunday. It seems to have been filmed inside the Sydney northern beaches apartment provided to Mr Lehrmann by Seven West Media as compensation for his exclusive interview with its Spotlight program.

The video was shared online and captures Mr Lehrmann speaking from the head of the table as another man a few seats down cuts at his plate with a credit card. “The family minus a couple cause (sic) we don’t wait when the food this (sic) good,” the caption by Mr Lehrmann reads.

Mr Lehrmann has previously admitted in court to requesting a friend provide him with cocaine. He said he “spiralled” after Brittany Higgins publicly alleged on The Project in 2021 that she had been raped in Parliament House.

There is no evidence to show Mr Lehrmann had taken illicit substances on the night recorded.

Mr Lehrmann is currently facing rape charges against a Toowoomba woman, but has not been committed for trial. He intends to plead not guilty. He is also currently involved in defamation proceedings against presenter Lisa Wilkinson and Network 10 for defamation, arguing he was improperly implicated in the rape allegations of Ms Higgins.

The apartment was provided to Mr Lehrmann by Seven West Media, who fronted its $4000 a month in rent and agreed to pay ongoing accommodation costs.

With Seven providing the accommodation for one year, the lease is set to expire on April 21.

The Spotlight team had a Walkley nomination revoked after the agreement came to light.

Mr Lehrmann was contacted for comment.
