A 16-year-old-boy has been killed in one of two stabbing attacks in NSW overnight.

Emergency services rushed to a Nymagee Street address in Narromine – in the state’s west – at 9pm where a teenage boy was found with critical injuries to his neck.

Paramedics rushed him to Dubbo Airport where he died, with a 26-year-old man later arrested over the attack.

The man was taken to Dubbo police station and is assisting police with inquiries.

Half an hour before, a second incident occurred in northwest Sydney, with a 28-year-old man discovered with wounds to his chest in Quakers Hill. He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but died on the way.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with CCTV footage, dashcam vision or information about either incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
