Victorian election: Dirt file uncovers Liberal MPs’ porn links

Victorian Liberal MPs and candidates have been revealed to be following a series of soft porn accounts on their social media profiles.

Victorian Liberal MPs and candidates, including would-be treasurer David Davis and frontbenchers Brad Battin and James Newbury, have been revealed to be following a series of soft porn accounts on their social media profiles.

The Herald Sun has published a dirt file of screenshots of content the male Liberals were following on their Twitter, Instagram and TikTok pages, including the accounts of porn stars, lingerie models, Playboy playmates, and anti-feminist men.

According to the paper, the dirt file – which has surfaced 12 days before the November 26 state election – was compiled by women’s rights campaigners.

Screenshots from the file show Mr Davis’s Twitter account following the Twitter account @whoresofyore, which describes itself as a “sex-positive, interdisciplinary, research project and archive, dedicated to exploring the history of human sexuality and challenging shame and stigma.”

Mr Davis is among a long list of politicians, staffers and journalists from across Victoria’s political spectrum who make up the UK-based account’s more than 650,000 followers — among them state Labor MP Vicki Ward.

He also follows an account called “Ben – Vote Liberal Democrats” with the description “Modern Feminism is a Cancer. It’s as toxic as any other hate culture”, while his Instagram page follows a page called @melbourneboudoirbykaren – or Badass Boudoir — which features lingerie-clad women posing suggestively.

In response to a request for comment, a Liberal campaign spokesman blamed the Labor Party for the dossier, saying they were “out of touch and out of ideas”.

Liberal police spokesman Mr Battin has been revealed as following on his public TikTok page an OnlyFans model who posts videos, viewed more than 3.6 million times, of her taking her top off to reveal her “itty bittys”.

Mr Battin told the Herald Sun he had “no idea” who he was following, and removed the follow from his account on Monday.

“I didn’t know I was following anyone on TikTok. I’ve never been on OnlyFans,” Mr Battin said.

Environment, climate change and equality spokesman Mr Newbury was following three ­bikini models on Instagram.

The Liberals’ Geelong candidate James Bennett-Hullin, candidate for Eastern Victoria David Burgess, candidate for South Barwon Andrew Katos, and candidate for Narracan Wayne Farnham, were all also found to be following soft porn content on their accounts.
