Coronavirus Australia live news: Jabs rate soars past 60pc amid rush to reopen

More than 60 per cent of Australians over 16 are now fully vaccinated, as the country continues to pass major milestones on the vaccination roadmap.

More than 60 per cent of Australians over the age 16 have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as the country continues to pass major milestones on the vaccination roadmap. A new Delta strain has been detected in Sydney as NSW records 646 cases, 11 deaths. Victoria reaches a new high of 1838 cases and five deaths.
