The Victorian government will reduce the number of communities in its border bubble with NSW, amid rising cases in Sydney and the far west. 

Daniel Andrews says the state is in for a tough time without any lifting of meaningful restrictions until a vaccination target of 70pc is reached at around September 23.

Gladys Berejiklian has flagged a return to overseas travel from NSW as the state records 1116 new cases.
