Coronavirus Australia live news: New freedoms as NSW records 1029 cases

Another daily high in infections and three deaths have not stopped Gladys Berejiklian announcing some easing of restrictions for those who are vaccinated.

Another daily high in infections - 1029, as well as three deaths - has not stopped Gladys Berejiklian lifting some restrictions for vaccinated people in NSW.

Victoria has recorded 80 new locally acquired Covid cases, 41 of which were infectious in the community and the ACT has recorded 14.
