As lockdown-weary NSW celebrates 'Freedom Day', Victoria's Health Minister says his state is on track to follow suit.

Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley says his state will reopen for Summer, as NSW celebrates 'Freedom Day'. Dominic Perrottet says NSW is leading the way to national freedom, as he and Daniel Andrews discuss opening the border between their states. NSW records 496 new local cases and eight deaths on the first day opening. Victoria numbers drop to 1612, with 8 deaths.
