As Sydney lifts a curfew on 12 LGAs, Melbourne faces drastic measures to keep thousands of anti-lockdown protesters from the CBD this weekend.

Melbourne's CBD faces drastic measures to stop thousands of anti-lockdown protesters from converging on the city this weekend. NSW added 1259 Covid-19 cases and 12 deaths, as first doses hit 80 per cent and the curfew in LGAs of concern is lifted. Victoria recorded 423 new Covid-19 cases and a further two deaths.
