As two regional LGAs are plunged back into lockdown, NSW now has more than 50pc of its eligible population fully vaccinated and 80pc with one jab. The state today recorded 1284 new cases and 12 deaths. Premier Gladys Berejiklian says her state will soon trial home quarantine, as will Tasmania. Victoria reported 510 new cases and one death. Of those cases, 386 have an unknown source. The news comes as the state hits 70pc first-jab doses, ahead of schedule.
