ABC cameraman attacks ‘devious’ Dutton on Facebook

An ABC cameraman in the federal press gallery has described Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton as “devious, lowly and untrustworthy”.
Nick Haggarty, based in the public broadcaster’s Canberra bureau, used Facebook to declare there are few politicians who would be considered by voters to be moral and ethical.
“In fact there is a very long list of politicians whose actions could be quite rightly described as devious, lowly and untrustworthy. We’re looking at you, Peter Dutton,” Haggarty wrote.
An ABC spokeswoman said the post was made on a personal Facebook account and had nothing to do with the public broadcaster. “It isn’t ABC content and it isn’t on an ABC platform or channel,” she said.
When contacted by The Australian, Haggarty said it was a private post for his friends.
“I put that up on my Facebook page for my Facebook friends. I didn’t put that up in what I regard as a public post,” he said. “What I post on my Facebook page is for my Facebook friends. I don’t post things on my Facebook page for the public.’’
